CD release for Cast & Crew

During the rehearsals of last Saturday, the mixed CD was presented to the Cast & Crew of the Marcus Mysterie.

In my humble opinion the result is great! The quality of the vocals is much better than was expected ;-)

Next week is the premiere, and here is just a pic to see some of the actors in costume:

Joe Cover gig

Don DeVallado played with the Joe Coverband last Saturday on a big festival in Nijmegen. It was not the first time he replaced their regular guitarplayer, but this was definately the best gig with them ever!















The location was fantastic, a garden of a fancy hotel surrounded by small hills and vast forests, and the crowd (600 people) was amazing!















Also, the Di Sini Kini DJ's returned from Lithuania (as land owners!) so immediately the writing process was initiated for a new song. Who knows, perhaps future recordings will take place on the real estate of DJ Strange Attractor in Lithuania ;-)

The Wedding

Last Saturday was mostly spent in Antwerp, for the wedding of Pepijn & Elise.

After the ceremony in the city hall we followed a brassband to a boat where the reception was held.

Yesterday, Monday, Don Rápido left for yet another vacation. Don DeVallado will use his absence to indulge in several other projects:

On Staurday 19th August he will fill in for the guitarplayer of the Joe Coverband at the De Wolfsberg Zomerfestival 2006 in Groesbeek.

At the end of this week, the Di Sini Kini dj's will return from Lithuania (where the played several parties and apparently also bought real estate!) so then the writing process for new material can start...

Belgian marriage

It has been a quiet week. Don Rápido is still away on camp, while Don DeVallado finally was able to catch up on some sleep since many nightly hours were spent to finish all songs in time.

Fortunately Ad Maas was again very enthusiastic about our last contribution: The Song of the White Ladies. From now it is out of our hands, we can only sit and wait out how the final mix will turn out. We can hardly contain ourselves!

Tomorrow we will crash the wedding of of this happy couple in Antwerp:

Witte Dames Done!

This morning we finished the song for the white ladies, our final contribution to the Marcus Mystery. On Saturday Don Rápido will be away to entertain 100 kids on a camp somewhere in the middle of nowhere, so we had to finish it this night.

Rápido was already gloating, summing up the things he had in store for those poor youngsters. There will be an entire generation that in 10 years from now need professional counselling because they wake up screaming at night, desperately trying to erase the memory of this evil prankster sew heir heads to the curtains, stole their pillows, put their hands in lukewarm water while they were sleeping and inserted foreign objects into uncomfortable places...

At the break of dawn, Don Rápido made the final mixdown, while Don DeVallado was slapping him randomly in the face just to keep him awake.

But hey! We're DONE! That is, if Ad Maas likes what he hears when we will play that last song for him.

Then we can simply sit back and unwind ;-)
